This month, I traveled to Switzerland for a retreat—a small but mighty step toward a bigger dream: exploring the digital nomad lifestyle (If you’ve heard me talk about wanting a “semester abroad” like the college students in my life, you know this has been on my mind!).

For me, courage doesn’t come in giant leaps. It comes in stacking little steps that build confidence over time.

Saying yes to a retreat abroad.

Trusting that my business can travel with me.

Choosing to pause and invest in reflection instead of racing ahead.

Each step is a reminder: progress doesn’t have to be loud to be meaningful.

A Change of Energy

Once I arrived, I realized this wasn’t just a change of scenery — it was a change of energy.

Dreaming alongside others reminded me how much community fuels courage. The conversations, laughter, and shared challenges were powerful anchors — the kind that keep you steady when you’re stepping into something new.

There’s something about getting out of your daily rhythm that opens the door to new ideas. When you remove yourself from routine, creativity flows differently. Courage doesn't feel like courage; next steps and options just make sense.

Mindset Matters

I came to Switzerland seeking inspiration — and I left with something more: a clearer sense of the mindset I’ll need as I plan for 2026.

🌍 Flexibility — to breathe, stay grounded, and adjust when plans change. 💡 Openness — to new places, people, and possibilities. 💪 Courage — to untangle the logistics of real life — caring for aging parents, keeping a marriage strong, staying connected to family — while pursuing my dreams. 🤝 Community — to remind me I don’t have to do any of this alone.

This journey has been a launchpad for planning—taking me out of the swirl of logistics and back into alignment with what matters most.

More than anything, it’s been a reminder that growth happens when we give ourselves space to reflect, experiment, and connect… and yes, especially to have fun along the way.

Your Turn

Wherever you are in your own journey, I hope you’ll find your version of my Switzerland experience — a space to recharge, reconnect, and realign with what matters most.

Have you been a digital nomad? I’d love to hear about how you set yourself up, what worked and what didn’t. Is this your dream too? I'd like to hear about your approach. You can schedule time with me here or email me at liz@tracypartnerships.com
